Rhinestone Eyes Fix

A storyboard version of a possible music video for the song was released on 4 October 2010 to the band's official YouTube channel.[5] The storyboard begins by telling the story of how all four of the band members reunite on Plastic Beach, with the return of Russell and Noodle. The opening scene shows Russell and Noodle heading to Plastic Beach, with Noodle riding on the top of Russell's head, as he eats a hammerhead shark. The Boogieman then appears at the top of Plastic Beach, with Murdoc and Cyborg Noodle discovering him. Cyborg Noodle begins to shoot at the Boogieman, as he hides behind a statue of Pazuzu (the one on the cover of the band's album D-Sides). The Boogieman then jumps into the ocean, with 2-D noticing him from his room, and lands on an empty ship. The Boogieman then points to Murdoc and remembers a flashback in which what appear to be the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse passing by in a desert setting, possibly Mexico, where Murdoc used to be an arms dealer, while the Boogieman is left behind on a donkey. A mysterious man approaches him and holds his hand out as a sign of friendship. As the Boogieman stretches out his hand, the man grabs his hand and the man is revealed to be Murdoc. The scene returns to normal with the Boogieman feeling outwitted as Murdoc grins. Cyborg Noodle blows up the entrance while holding a complete arsenal of weapons, surprising all of the fellow people who collaborated on Plastic Beach as her eyes start to water, similar to the Stylo video. The Boogieman then summons his own army to attack Plastic Beach while Cyborg Noodle and the collaborators try to defend the island. A whale begins to bite the bottom of Plastic Beach, scaring 2-D who is afraid of whales and puts his clown mask on his face, until Russel grabs its tail and tosses it into the sky, hitting a plane. Cyborg Noodle is startled to see Russel while Russel opens his mouth, revealing Noodle to be inside. Noodle takes off her mask and reveals some scars around her right eye.

In my opinion, it's about the loss of true nature and the natural to man-made trash. Everything is being replaced by consumerism and factories and man-made cities are sprawling out, spreading out. No one even knows how to react to nature anymore, which is dying because of pollution--global warming is mentioned: So call the mainland from the beach, Our pod is now washed up in bleach" ... "And nobody knows what to do with the heat, Under sunshine pylons we'll meet."Everything is smoke from factories ("scary gargoyle on a tower") and pollution.Even rain is compared to cheap rhinestones, and man is 'future pixels in factories far away'.However, the most telling line is-- "Nature's corrupted in factories far away."

the song is about Murdoc missing noodle, hence the "Your rhinestone eyes are like factories far away" Murdoc also calls himself a scary gargoyle and he calls himself this because the fear people get when they see him, more notably 2D . He also talks about how the pirates attack everyday (That's electric)Helicopters fly over the beachSame time everyday, same routineClear target in the summer when skies are blueIt's part of the noise when winter comesIt reverberates in my lungsNature's corrupted in factories far away (that's electric) in the last few words in the song he talks about how much he misses and loves noodle and how he wants to see her again

I heard the song was about Paula Cracker 2-D's former girlfriend. But I think since Merdoc wrote the album plastic beach it speaks about relationships in general. Paula Cracker didn't care about 2-D. People say that the eyes are the window to the soul and rhinestones are fake diamonds thus the lyric "rhinestone eyes" it represents her facade. The lyrics"I'm a scary gargoyle on a tower that you made with plastic power" represent how 2-D made the band what it is today because he is the "pretty boy" of the band and how the time he was frightened of Murdoc. Just to be clear I know 2-D sang most of the lyrics but Murdoc wrote the song and Murdoc is the scary gargoyle. 041b061a72
